The month of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Cancer has touched us directly or indirectly to everyone at some point in our lives. The impact of a catastrophic illness in a patient (adults or children) and family can be devastating. The treatment and care of a child with cancer or other catastrophic illness can be overwhelming for child patients and their parents, either because they cannot afford the treatment available or because there is no specific treatment for the condition. These times can be filled with uncertainty for everyone. That is why we want to share the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and we choose it as the first charity we want to promote; therefore, from February 9 to March 9, 2016, St. Jude will be our featured charity.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures and means of prevention of catastrophic childhood diseases through research and development of treatments. According to the vision of its founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or the family’s ability to pay.

St. Jude discoveries in their research laboratories pass quickly to patients and physicians around the world; and by expanding its reach internationally, St. Jude can save even more children.

Help St. Jude in its mission to find cures and save children from all over the world. We share with you links where you can read more about St. Jude and how you can help:
